 | Saturday, July 1st, 1961: Soriano Awarded June's LL Top Bat Prize José Soriano really smoked the ball in June on his way to Batter of the Month honors in the Lincoln League. The Los Angeles right fielder hit .344 with 13 home runs, 28 RBIs and 20 runs scored to round out his great month. In 65 games Soriano is hitting .276 this season for the Quakes with 63 hits, 18 home runs, 45 RBIs, 18 walks, .328 OBP and has scored 34 runs. |
